TECHNIQUE THURSDAY

It's Technique Thursday!  I will be on Facebook Live this evening at 8:10 PM CST. I'll demonstrate blending with brushes and a double Z-Fold card.

BIRTHDAY DOUBLE Z FOLD CARD
ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE IN IMPERIAL/INCHES

  • Start with two pieces of cardstock.
    • 11 x 4-1/4 scored at 2- 3/4 and 5- 1/2.
    • 8- 1/2 x 3 scored at 2-1/4 x4- 1/2
  • Cut three pieces of coordinating designer series paper (DSP)
    • 3- 3/4 x 2- 1/4
    • 3- 3/4 x 3- 1/2
    • 3- 3/4 x 1- 1/2
  • Cut two pieces of White cardstock
    • 3- 3/4 x 2- 1/2
    • 2- 7/8 x 2
  • Use Blending Brushes and light coordinating colors of your DSP, lightly blend colors onto the two white pieces of cardstock.
  • Stamp images on the cardstock you just colored. The smaller piece will be the inside of your card in landscape orientation. The larger piece will be on the front in portrait orientation.
  • Adhere DSP to the cardstock.
    • The 3- 3/4 x 3- 1/2 to the inside.
    • Put the 3- 3/4 x 2- 1/4 on the small panel of the cardbase at the bottom.
    • Last, put the 3- 3/4 x 1- 1/2 to what will be the front of the card.
ASSEMBLY

  • Accordian fold the small z fold so the large side is facing down.
  • The small piece facing you is where the adhesive go, and the bottom half of the larger piece is where adhesive goes. Be sure to read the next set of instructions before proceeding so you understand it better, or you can watch my video
  • Line the valley of the small scored piece up with the mountain of the carbase, but not touching.  Adhere it to the cardbase.
  • Let the front adhere to the cardbase. This happens almost naturally.
  • Embellish the card and that's it!

I hope you enjoyed my project. Please comment, like, and share.  Leave me a comment if you have any questions.
